To collect, organize and preserve information and historical materials that provide insight to understanding the life and times of the New Holland area, and to share this with others.
To be a place that our community looks upon as a vital part of everyday life. It should provide a source of information about our history, our heritage, and supply a place to enjoy community interaction regarding those subjects.
The New Holland Area Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin, sex, disability, gender identification and sexual orientation or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law, in the administration of its policies, activities, events, publications, interactions with and selections of vendors, and engagements with volunteers, including the selection of volunteers. The New Holland Area Historical Society (NHAHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2005 whose purpose is to gather, organize, and preserve information and historical items that provide an insight to understanding the life and times of the New Holland area and sharing this information with others.
Our museum is operated by the NHAHS and provides space to store and display artifacts, historic data, photos, literature, and other memorabilia, and make it available to others for educational and research opportunities.
The museum is located on the second floor of the historic Kauffman's Hardware building located at 207 East Main Street in New Holland, PA.
